Bakes by Jean is a boutique cakery and patisserie that was founded in 2015 by professional pastry chef Jean Cleary-Coyne. Cleary-Coyne’s passion for baking began in her home country of Ireland, where she created sponge cakes and apple tarts from a young age. Cleary-Coyne spent three years working as a pastry chef at the world-famous Harrods of Knightsbridge in London, before making her way to Melbourne in 2005. Bakes by Jean use only the highest-quality ingredients, including free-range eggs, Belgian chocolate, vanilla bean paste, real butter and fresh zest.
